closure
Building on their long-standing partnership, the two companies will present their full range of screwcap closures, hoods and capsules for still and sparkling wine.

Amcor, a global leader in developing and producing responsible packaging solutions and maker of the Stelvin screwcap, will partner with Paolo Araldo Srl, a company based in the Piedmont region of Italy, to exhibit together at SIMEI in Fiera Milano from 17 to 20 November 2026.

Building on their long-standing partnership, the two companies will present their full range of screwcap closures, hoods and capsules for still and sparkling wine.

A range of wine packaging solutions

Through the partnership between Amcor and Paolo Araldo, Italian wineries can source their entire closure and capsule offering from one supplier:

The original Stelvin screwcaps, the global standard since 1964, available for still wines, including the premium Stelvin LUX, and the Stelvin Pressure version for lightly carbonated wines.

Sparkling wine hoods, from polylaminate options like Champaluxe and Champtop to the premium Luxetain and Luxprem in tin and thick polylaminate

Overcaps for still wine, including Rolltop in polylaminate, Capgard in aluminium and Softgard, the premium overcap made with more than 90% recycled tin.

Distinctive customization for every type of closure and capsule

Alongside the breadth of the range, the offering’s second strength is customization.

For still wine overcaps and sparkling wine hoods, Amcor and Paolo Araldo offer a wide range of printing effects designed to strengthen brand identity, differentiate on the shelf and elevate the appearance of the bottle. These include, among others, matte and gloss finishes, tactile inks, and embossing with hot-stamping that add a sensory dimension and enhance perceived quality.

Customization also extends to shape. The hood skirt, for example, is available in several standard profiles, and bespoke shapes can be developed on request, allowing wineries to create a truly distinctive silhouette. Each new design is tested during development, ensuring it performs reliably on the winery’s bottling line.

The same attention to detail applies to screwcaps. Stelvin Lux offers an elegant canvas with a larger printable surface and a wide range of customization options, such as the Soft-Touch velvet effect – a silky matte finish that gives the closure a tactile, high-end feel.

To further support wineries’ brand expression, Amcor has developed ShapeArt Texture, a range of custom textures for screwcaps.

At SIMEI, the Amcor and Paolo Araldo team will guide winemakers through the available options and the full service behind a custom closure and capsule: from creative design support and technical trials to hands-on assistance during bottling.

A single point of contact for Italian wineries

The partnership also brings together local presence and global scale. With Paolo Araldo’s established presence across the Italian wine market and Amcor’s international capabilities, wineries, large and small, can rely on a single local point of contact for their closure and capsule needs.

Wineries can coordinate product selection, customization and supply with one partner, while benefiting from the breadth of Amcor’s global offering and Paolo Araldo’s knowledge of the Italian market.

Joint presence at SIMEI

The opportunity to experience the full offering firsthand will be at booth C11-D20, Padiglione 3 at SIMEI, Fiera Milano. Here, operators, winemakers, and export managers will be able to speak directly with Amcor and Paolo Araldo representatives about the best solutions for their preservation, packaging, and product presentation needs.

Amcor and Paolo Araldo invite wineries to visit the stand for a personalized consultation, confirming their shared goal: to offer the Italian market a single point of contact for wine closures and overcaps, from the creative idea all the way to the finished bottle.
