Hindustan Offset, a commercial printing enterprise in Jwalapur, Uttarakhand, has diversified into label printing with flexo narrow web digital labels. The company recently installed a Konica Minolta Accuriolabel 230 to enhance its printing operations.

Hindustan Offset initially started operations in 1997 as a commercial printing enterprise – printing instruction manuals, posters, bills, and all types of printing on paper by offset presses.

Catering mainly to Uttarakhand, parts of Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, and Bangalore, Hindustan Offset also exports its products and provides digital printing technology.

The company recently installed Konica Minolta’s Accuriolabel 230 to enhance its printing operations. The Accuriolabel 230 is a digital label printing system that is said to offer enhanced productivity, job flexibility, operability, and excellent image quality at an affordable cost.

Gulshan Bhatia, director of Hindustan Offset, said, “The Konica Minolta Accuriolabel 230 machine is very easy to use, has low voltage, and low electricity consumption. Only one man is required to operate it.” With this new installation, Hindustan Offset is ready to service its existing list of clients, which includes Hero MotoCorp, Eureka Forbes, Havells India, and pharma companies.

Apart from the Konica Minolta, Hindustan Offset has a Mark Andy, a MultiTech, a Monotech digital press, a Komori L-426, and a Heidelberg offset press. The main challenge Bhatia faces is the day-to-day increase in the prices of raw materials, which hampers profitability.

The Covid-19 pandemic severely affected the business with turnover and profits on the lower side. With the acquisition of the Accuriolabel 230, Hindustan Offset is looking ahead at a bright future in label printing.
