A known name in the south Indian label manufacturing industry, Chennai-based Pioneer Arunachalam Packaging’s USP is its labels. Helping the company produce quality labels is its team of experienced printing and production professionals powered by a line of advanced presses and post-press machines, among which a Rhyguan Plus-420 converting and finishing machine is the latest addition.
The new machine has been supplied and installed by Flexo Image Graphics, a distributor and service provider of flexo presses and associated equipment in the Indian subcontinent. In addition to Rhyguan, FIG is an authorized distributor of other machines from globally recognized brands such as Mark Andy, Rotoflex, Luster, Kluge, KDS Quantum, and Presstek.
“Our relationship with FIG dates to the year 2009 when we first purchased a Mark Andy label press from them. Apart from their range of advanced and versatile machines, we are quite happy with the way their aftersales technical support team, led by M Suresh, helps us with the technical know-how as well as the productive operation of the machines they supply,” says Arun Tenzing, director, Pioneer Arunachalam Packaging.

The Rhyguan Plus-420 converting and finishing machine is designed for servo-driven semi-rotary die-cutting units with its own independent re-registration and tension control to speed up job changes. It is upgraded with standard slitting, cross perforation, and various other rewinding options or cut sheeting with a conveyor belt and batch separation. “We are thrilled to run the Rhyguan Plus-420, which is a ‘smart’ finishing system with advanced features such as inspection (100 percent offline),” says Dharmaraj.
“So far, we are quite satisfied with the core converting and finishing competency of the Rhyguan Plus-420, which has built up our confidence and competency to please our ‘quality-conscious’ customers. In addition, we are thrilled to experience the high-precision Rhyguan Smart slitting rewinding along with Luster 7K 100% fault detection inspection system,” Dharmaraj says.
Pioneer Arunachalam Packaging boasts a vast client base comprising big brands, predominantly from the liquor and FMCG sectors, from major south Indian cities and towns across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, etc.
