Formerly called Rukson Offset, Navi Mumbai-based Rukson Packaging is a one-stop packaging convertor now catering finest range of end products produced using a fleet of machines and equipment comprising two Komori presses. A brand new Komori Lithrone GL 640+C UV Advance at the company’s production facility has helped elevate the overall print quality and productivity.
Recalling the company’s early days, Gobind K Panjabi, Director of Rukson Packaging, says, “We started our business in 1996 barely using a two-color offset press. Since then we have been supplying mono cartons to hosts of customers dwelling in different sectors. Over the years, we keep expanding our customer base, product range, and machines.”
“There are certain challenges when it comes to maintaining quality in prints and productivity to fulfill all new demands we constantly receive from our customers and end users. We need to regularly enhance our capability with constant adoptions of newer machines or technologies, in which the Komori Lithrone GL 640+C UV is the latest in our facility.”
“Our facility is fully equipped with arrays of pre-press, press, and post-press machines, but this new and our second Komori press stands out among others in terms of its features and capacities. First was a Komori LS 32, which we installed around a decade ago. So far so good, we have been impressed and smitten by the Komori technology alongside the cost-effectiveness of the two machines we have owned to date,” he said.
On choosing the second Komori press, Panjabi says, “We have chosen the Komori Lithrone GL 640+C UV, especially for met-pet cartons. However, this press is fully packed with advanced features and capacities for various other packaging applications.” In addition to cartons, Rukson Packaging deals in labels, leaflets, catch covers, calendars, etc., for a host of customers in the pharmaceuticals, FMCG and food industries among others.
According to Panjabi, the quality of prints from Komori Lithrone GL 640+C UV is ideally equivalent to the industry’s leading German presses. “The print quality from this second Komori press is mind-blowing. The press is highly user-friendly and cost-effective when we compare it to other presses in its class.”
“The Komori Lithrone GL 640+C UV is technically a far better and more productive press than many other presses now used by many in the industry. For example, its registration is really fast and it’s packed with many such advancements. The team of service engineers from Komori India helped and trained our operators so efficiently to know, operate, and get the best out of the press. In the future, our growth story will always be with Komori,” Panjabi says.
