At this year’s PackTech India, Hyderabad-based flexible packaging major Shrinath Rotopack promoted the entire gamut of solutions that it offers in the flexible packaging segment with special focus on solutions launched in the last one year.

The company displayed a wide array of solutions such as premade pouches, retort pouches, lidding films, spouts, zipper pouches, 7-layer films and shaped pouches, among others. A recently launched product which was in focus at the event was Shrinath Rotopack’s high barrier films for vacuum packaging and thermoforming. “We launched the product a few months ago and it can be used for various applications like meat packages, sausages, etc.,” says VA Kakde – head technical and R&D, Shrinath Rotopack.

The other solutions recently launched by the company recently include shaped pouches which can be used to pack hot fill products, pastes, chemicals, home care, etc. According to Kakde, shaped pouches have enormous flexibility in terms of both shape and size.

Shrinath Rotopack has plans to be a Rs. 1,100 crore company by 2018–19 with overall laminate capacity to 5000 MT per month by March 2017. The company also has plans to install a new blown film line plant next year and venture into collapsible tubes market. Currently, Shrinath Rotopack’s manufacturing facilities are spread in 47 acres across three locations on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
