Jindal Films' label product range

Jindal Films, a global technology leader in flexible food packaging, pressure sensitive, wrap around and in-mold labeling applications, is reinforcing its commitment for a sustainable future in the labeling market.

As a global name in labeling film applications, Jindal Films is reinforcing its European  manufacturing footprint by starting up the previously announced new orienter line on its Italian site,  in Brindisi in 2024. This new orienter is designed to have the lowest possible environmental footprint, including using electricity produced on site by solar panels, which will further position Jindal Films as a one-stop shop partner for sustainable labeling film applications.

Out of all its plants across Europe, Jindal says it is fully equipped to supply Label-Lyte films answering the  required performance and the most demanding environmental market needs across the entire supply chain.

Jindal has a dedicated full range of label-Lyte pressure sensitive facestock films with a clear, glossy  white and matt white surface finish.

  • LL210 crystal clear and ZH247 cavitated white made with unique cavitation  technology required for the pressure sensitive market. These films are designed to be  top coated on the print side by customers when they have this possibility on their lines.
  • One side top-coated films LL532 and LH532 have a print surface prepared to be used by all  the actual printing methods, including UV inkjet latest technology.
  • The latest two-side top-coated films, LL345, SWL345 and LH345 ensure, on top of a robust print surface, a wide and performant adhesive anchorage to the back, while providing, when needed, a barrier effect to hot melt migrating components.
  • The new matt LT545 film is providing a premium matt finish and is extremely resistant over  time constraints.
  • Metalized films are available both without (ML280) and with top coating (ML580) to protect the metal layer while offering an exceptional printability.

In-mould labeling product range, inherited from Treofan

  • High-yield orange peel effect films, including the market references EUH and EUP  designed for demanding sheet fed presses both in one side or more recently with its two-side matt option optimized for sheet fed printing equipment.
  • Specific films for IML decoration of big buckets produced for the industrial, as well as for the food packaging market, including paint buckets and containers for food sauces via its ELR film family or the EWR solid white film.
  • Clear film solutions ensure a perfect clarity over the label decoration, with the ETH or with a matt side with ETR.
  • EPT Film designed for thermoforming label applications, which pioneered the use of  BOPP films in this labeling technology.

Label-Lyte films for the reel fed wrap around applications were continuously optimized from  the beginning of this technology.

  • DL247, the thinnest and lightest film in the reel fed market, ensures excellent  performances like the well-known cavitated white LL247, while being 15% lighter,  therefore offering significantly reduced plastic use for the same labelling surface.
  • High clarity LTD film is being re-launched on the market to primarily support the water  applications.

Jindal says its Labe-Lyte and Treofan IML films can be provided as part of ists latest Re Range portfolio, which upgrade each film in its most sustainable version to reduce its environmental impact, virgin plastic and  fossil oil dependency.

The Re Range include mass balance ISCC+ certified films, bio-based, bio-circular  or circular (chemical recycling), which can be implemented without any compromise on  performances and food approvals guarantees. Furthermore, its Re Range delivers the result of its new expertise developed to incorporate mechanically recycled content in our films, both in post-industrial and post-consumer types. All the films within its Re Range portfolio provide a tool to reduce carbon emissions across the entire value chain in a joint effort to limit global warming  to 1.5˚C, the company said

Jindal Films says it is devoted to continue to expand the Label-Lyte product range to be a one-stop shop  reliable solution partner for every label player in the industry. “We are striving to develop the next  generations of films required to meet the evolving market and environmental needs, delivering to end  consumers, a fully sustainable solution for their everyday products.”

Jindal Films is an industry leader in the development and manufacture of specialty packaging and labeling  film solutions, including multilayer white opaque films, metalized films and coated films for flexible  packaging and labeling applications.

Jindal Films has affiliated production plants in Europe (Virton,  Belgium; Kerkrade, The Netherlands; Brindisi, Italy; Neunkirchen, Germany), and in the United States  (LaGrange, Georgia; and Shawnee, Oklahoma).
