A Gold Partner at the 13th Elite Plus Specialty Films & Flexible Packaging Global Summit, slated for 26 and 27 August 2026 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, KG Flexx will strengthen its engagement with the global packaging ecosystem and highlight its growing focus on high-performance, specialty and sustainable film solutions.
On the company’s objectives at the summit, Prashant Pandurangan, senior general manager, KG Flexx, said the platform offers an opportunity to engage with key stakeholders across the value chain, including packaging converters, brand owners, technology partners and industry leaders.
“As a gold partner, our objective is to strengthen KG Flexx’s engagement with the global specialty films and flexible packaging ecosystem and to showcase our growing capabilities in high-performance and specialty films,” Pandurangan said.
The company, he says, sees the summit as an opportunity to present its evolution in the BOPP films business. “It provides an excellent platform for KG Flexx to present its journey from a new-generation BOPP film manufacturer to an emerging player in specialty and high-value-added packaging films.”
KG Flexx will showcase its portfolio of specialty BOPP films and advanced packaging films solutions, including metallized, pearlised, opaque, matt, heat-sealable and customized specialty films. A key focus area will be the company’s EVOH-based high-barrier films.
According to Pandurangan, these solutions are an important addition to the company’s portfolio and provide enhanced barrier performance while supporting the transition toward more efficient and recyclable packaging structures.
“Our focus is not simply on supplying films, but on developing application-oriented solutions that enable converters and brand owners to achieve better performance, downgauging, improved shelf life and enhanced packaging efficiency,” he said.
Sustainability is central to the company’s product development strategy. Pandurangan said KG Flexx is focusing on material efficiency, downgauging, recyclability and the development of mono-material packaging structures while maintaining the mechanical, optical and barrier properties required for packaging applications.
“The future of flexible packaging will be driven by the right balance between performance, resource efficiency, recyclability and commercial viability,” he said, adding the company continues to invest in technology and product development to help customers move toward more sustainable packaging without compromising functionality.
Pandurangan identified the shift toward recyclable and mono-material packaging, the increasing adoption of high-barrier films, downgauging and the growing demand for specialty and application-specific films as some of the key trends shaping the sector.
Greater integration of sustainability into packaging design, the increased use of technology and automation, and stronger collaboration among film manufacturers, converters, brand owners and recyclers will also play an important role, he said.
India’s expanding consumer market, organized retail, e-commerce and packaged food sectors offer strong growth potential. “We believe India has the potential to become an important global manufacturing and innovation hub for flexible packaging,” Pandurangan said.
For KG Flexx, the summit is expected to create opportunities to understand emerging market requirements, explore new applications for specialty films, build partnerships and examine international opportunities. Most importantly, Pandurangan said, the company wants to position itself as “a responsive, innovative and technology-oriented partner” for the packaging industry.
Summing up KG Flexx’s message to the industry, he said, “The future of packaging will be defined by innovation, performance and sustainability, all of them together.”
“KG Flexx is committed to being more than a film supplier. We aspire to be a technology and innovation partner for our customers,” Pandurangan added.
