Prepress machine manufacturer XSYS had a prominent stand at Loupe India 2026 – demonstrating the Lava 4260 thermal processor for solvent-less processing – the first live demonstration by the company at any show. It also introduced its latest imaging device – the Thermoflex Edge 80, said to be the fastest imager available in the market.
The LAMS plate imager is a third-generation flexo laser imager with a premium surface screening with 2400 ppi.
Prasenjit Das, XSYS’s general manager for South Asia, said the Thermoflex Edge 80 is one grade higher than the Thermoflex 50 x 80 with Catena E, recently installed at Anupama Printing Solutions in Delhi-NCR and which was covered by Packaging South Asia.
According to Das, the Thermoflex Edge 80 received a “very good response” from visitors and prospective and existing customers at Loupe India.
Roy Schoettle, vice president of Asia-Pacific at XSYS, said the Thermoflex Edge 80 was first launched at Labelexpo Barcelona. However, at that time, the machines were not ready to be released to the market.
“This is the fastest machine, which delivers the highest quality. We are very happy and excited with this premium product. The first machine will go out in the next few weeks. Very soon, we expect it in India,” Schoettle said.
XSYS sees India as a very important market. Schoettle said it is the fastest-growing flexo market in the world, and so XSYS puts in a lot of effort in the Indian market. “A lot of customers in India trust us with investments and business.”
Speaking on the Loupe India exhibition, he said it is a great show with high-quality businesses and a large number of targeted visitors. “If we compare Loupe India to the Labelexpo editions before Covid, there is a marked difference,” he said.
