The initial response for PACK.Nxt registrations is excellent. The time and place seem right for a serious look at technologies and solutions that make the supply chain and packaging smarter. The conference, supported by the Amsterdam-based AIPIA, will take place at the Lalit, Mumbai on 18 January 2024. The Mumbai conference will address the role of smart packaging in designing recyclable packaging and its recycling. It will discuss the Indian experience of using recyclates and resins in lateral packaging solutions digitally maintaining the transparency and authenticity of the process from waste collection to resin.

The Indian, South Asian, Southeast Asian, and Middle East packaging industries are looking beyond the resilience of the past three years. They are resuming capacity expansion and diversification, with high technology and automation in new plants and projects.

As we present our 2024 publishing plan, India’s real GDP growth for the financial year ending 31 March 2024 will exceed 6%. The capacity for flexible film manufacturing in India increased by 45% over the past four years. With orders in place, we expect another 20% capacity addition in 2024 and 2025.
