Pidilite Industries is strengthening its position in the packaging sector with new product innovations and expanded capacities, as highlighted by the company at Printpack 2025.
Pidilite has had a long-standing presence at Printpack and its leadership in packaging adhesives continues. While traditional applications remain core to the business, new developments —particularly the shipper box industry and coatings for various applications — are gaining traction. To meet this demand, Pidilite recently launched Fevicol FFG, a specialized adhesive designed for the shipper box industry and launched various coating solutions. These innovations align with sustainability goals, aiming for high repulpability and biodegradability to support the circular economy.
The company says it is making significant strides in the hot melt adhesive segment, following its 2018 collaboration with Germany’s Jowat, a 110-year-old specialist in hot melt applications. Under this agreement, Pidilite acquired the marketing, formulation, and sales rights for Jowat’s products in South Asia and other Asian markets. As part of this expansion, the company increased its hot melt production capacity at its Vapi facility from 3,500 tons to nearly 12,000–15,000 tons annually.
Earlier, the company had a limited presence in the hot melt PSA segment. Now, Pidilite is actively entering this space offering a wide range of HMPSA for various applications.
Indian packaging industry poised for growth
India’s packaging sector is expected to grow by 14-15% annually according to multiple industry reports. This growth is attributed to rising FMCG penetration, increasing per capita income, and the rapid expansion of eCommerce and quick commerce.
Printpack 2025 continues to serve as a vital platform for industry leaders, and Pidilite’s latest innovations reaffirm its commitment to advancing packaging solutions.
