At the 13th Elite Plus Specialty Films & Flexible Packaging Global Summit in Mumbai, Scanvik Packaging will showcase its latest converting technologies and sustainable packaging solutions with a strong focus on networking, knowledge sharing and engaging with customers on emerging industry trends.
In a preview interview ahead of the summit, scheduled on 26-27 August at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, Vikyat Hebbar of Scanvik Packaging said the company sees the event as an important platform to connect with industry leaders and understand how global developments are influencing the packaging sector.
“The key objective is to explore to the fullest the networking opportunity provided by the conference. During these uncertain times, meeting industry leaders & colleagues becomes more important to understand how the current geopolitical situation is impacting the industry & how they are dealing with it.”
Scanvik Packaging will promote a range of solutions for flexible packaging converters, including plastic and paper bag-making equipment, laser scoring and perforating systems, high-speed slitter rewinders, laser anilox cleaners, plate and parts cleaning technologies, and the latest plate mounting systems for central impression (CI) flexographic printing.
The company will also discuss Rossini’s latest innovations in adaptors and flexographic plate sleeve technology with customers.
Hebbar said sustainability remains a key driver of technology development across the company’s portfolio. “Most technologies & innovations by our principals are centred around sustainability. Right from manufacturing machines that reduce carbon footprint to making them more durable & long lasting.”
Scanvik Packaging also expects the summit to provide valuable insights into market developments while strengthening relationships with existing and prospective customers.
“We expect to hear some good informative content from the industry leaders & decision makers. We are also looking forward to meeting our existing as well as prospective customers & showcase to them our new technology solutions adding value to their converting business.”
Looking ahead, Hebbar said India’s rigid plastics and packaging industry is entering a new phase of development.
“The Indian rigid plastics and packaging industry is entering a period of transformation. Demand will continue to grow, but success will increasingly depend on sustainability, automation, premium packaging, and regulatory compliance rather than simply increasing production capacity.”
Inviting industry stakeholders to attend the event, Hebbar said the summit has consistently delivered value to participants.
“From our previous experience of this conference, I am sure the visitors will not be disappointed as all the leading suppliers & technology providers would be present. It would be two power-packed days of knowledge sharing from Industry experts & a networking opportunity for all suppliers, converters and brand owners under one roof.”
