India’s leading printed folding carton manufacturer, TCPL Packaging Limited, has installed its third QuadTech Inspection System to further drive printing efficiencies as it moves to support flexible packaging. In addition to the inspection system, the order includes Data Central, PDF verification, Waste Management and Web Viewing Systems—equipping TCPL with a complete defect management workflow.

Speaking about the recent installation of the Vision Fold 110, Concord Printing’s owner Arshaad Memon says, “When nothing matters more than the quality of your final product, you need the equipment that can deliver quality and consistency. Earlier, with the carton flap pasted manually, we could only finish around 8,000 lock-bottom cartons in a day, while the customer used to face the pasting issue of boxes. No matter how good the print quality or timely delivery, this manual pasting spoiled the job for the customer.

Bobst recently organized a vacuum metallizing and coating innovations seminar at Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi. Attended by more than 80 flexible packaging converters and suppliers, the seminar showcased Bobst’s innovations in the field of vacuum metallizing and coating.

It was only a matter of time before Bobst held a knowledge event in the national capital of India on 21 April 2017. The event was well attended mostly by flexible packaging converters and by some brand owners and raw material suppliers.

Covinil, a well-established converter based in Spain is the first company to invest in the new Bobst integrated solution for the conversion of AlOx high barrier transparent films. This includes the new K5000 vacuum metallizer demonstrated to global converters in Manchester in the UK, just before the K exhibition in Dusseldorf in October 2016.

Marbach Asia Pacific, the subsidiary of the Marbach Group in Malaysia, has recently installed a new Bobst diecutting machine that will stay at the company for at least two years. The global manufacturer of cutting-dies can now showcase its tools in action on the Bobst Novacut 106 ER. The machine is equipped with all the important features, such as quick lock frames, 1 mm plate exchange system with micrometric adjustment and, most importantly, a blanking unit.
