Esko’s range of software and Kongsberg table
Esko, a global supplier of integrated solutions for the packaging, labels, sign and display, commercial printing and publishing industries, displayed a range of software and series of Kongsberg hardware table at the PrintPack exhibition. Arnab Maiti, sales director – South Asia, Esko said, “We have software for all kinds of packaging and printing works, be it offset, flexo or gravure, which we displayed at our stand. In addition, we also marked our presence at the show through our partners like Technova and Malhotra Graphics. While Technova is primarily working in the folding carton segment and displayed the XE10 Kongsberg table and software at the show, Malhotra Graphics is one of our dealers for the flexo graphics segment.”

With emphasis on safe food packaging, Hubergroup promoted it MGA and Gecko range of inks at PackTech India held at Mumbai on 15–17 December. MGA Natura is ideal for special sheet-fed offset for printing organoleptically neutral print products on absorbent substrates. It is suitable for printing of food packaging made from paper and board. The prints made with Natura require inline application of an organoleptically neutral water-based coating. The MGA range of inks was launched in India earlier this year.
Sun Chemical to acquire Flint
Sun Chemical intends to acquire Flint Group’s European publication gravure ink business. The acquisition will include the transfer of all products relating to Flint Group’s European publication gravure products and reflects Sun Chemical’s continued dedication to supporting this sector.
Digital, packaging, automation and sustainability at drupa
Laurel Brunner writes, “Drupa 2016’s attendance and sales numbers show that print is in rude health.” (Just so this British idiom is not misunderstood – if someone’s in rude health, they are very healthy and look it.)
