Lineomatic marked its debut participation at PlastIndia 2026 Delhi with its entry into the flexographic printing machine segment.
Dilip Golani, senior marketing manager, Lineomatic India, termed it as a significant expansion for the 50-year-old machinery manufacturer, which has traditionally maintained a strong presence in the stationery, converting, packaging, and printing equipment markets.
Speaking at the event, Golani highlighted the company’s legacy and global footprint. “We are exporting our machinery to more than 90 countries and have built a strong market share in the stationery segment in India,” he said, underlining the company’s established engineering capabilities.
Lineomatic highlighted its newly developed reel-to-reel flexo printing machines, available in 4-color and 6-color configurations, at the exhibition. The company is working on a more advanced CI flexo press, presently in the development stage. “The concept is ready, and we will soon launch the machine,” Dave noted.
Commenting on market dynamics, Dave emphasized the growing opportunity for domestic manufacturing of CI flexo presses. “We see a clear market requirement. In India, there are limited local manufacturers for CI flexo, and many companies rely on imports. This opens up a strong opportunity for us,” he explained.
Addressing the comparison between flexo and gravure, Dave said both serve distinct applications. “Each technology has its own limitations and buyer segments. The choice depends entirely on the specific requirements of the customer,” he said.
Lineomatic is targeting a wide range of industries with its flexo solutions, including food packaging, hygiene products, paper, and flexible packaging. Looking ahead, the company plans to showcase its fully developed machines at future exhibitions, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and growth in the flexo segment.
