India Smart Packaging Summit attracts A-Z of leading industry support

The line-up of speakers for the up-coming Indian Virtual Smart Packaging Summit includes an enticing mixture of well known AIPIA event regulars, such as Aptar, Avery Dennison, NXP, Systech and Zappar as well as a number of new faces, such as VerifyMe and Faciculus. In addition the India based Authentication Solution Providers Association, ASPA, an India-based group with a strong local market knowledge will talk aboutbrand security and authentication challenges in India and South Asia, based on its 20 years of knowledge.

Other well known AIPIA members, some represented by their local representatives ,include Evigence (Lisaline Lifescience Technologies India) who will talk about ‘the Future of Freshness’ , Talkin’ Things will demonstrate how the latest tag production technology has reduced the cost of RFID dramatically and Inspectron who will highlight a totally new way to track&trace your products which it claims to be both environmentally friendly and cost effective.

Printed Electronics (PE) will get an airing from coating experts KROENERT, while Wolfgang Mildner owner and CEO of MSWtech will offer an Introduction to PE, current applications, and  a roadmap  for Roll-to-Roll processing for smart packaging applications for Indian users. From this area of technology we also welcome Marcin Ratajczak CEO of Inuru who have already made some of the most high impact labels for the biggest brands, such as Coca-Cola, explaining about easy integrable smart packaging and labels made with PE using OLED.

Also high on the agenda is Recycling and Sustainability, a must on any packaging development list these days. Smart Packaging has an important role to play in making recycling easier and spreading sustainability messages to consumers through Connected Packaging. Leading exponents of these technologies, Digimarc and Recycl3R Solutions will explain how digital fits in to recycling and circularity.

Packaging South Asia — resilient, growing and impactful — daily, monthly — always responsive

The multi-channel B2B in print and digital 17-year-old platform matches the industry’s growth trajectory. The Indian, South Asian, Southeast Asian, and Middle East packaging industries are looking beyond the resilience of the past three years. As we present our 2024 publishing plan, India’s real GDP growth for the financial year ending 31 March 2024 will exceed 6%. The capacity for flexible film manufacturing in India increased by 45% over the past four years. With orders in place, we expect another 20% capacity addition in 2024 and 2025. As the consumption story returns over the next six months, we expect demand to return and exceed the growth trajectory of previous years. The numbers are positive for most of the economies in the region – and as shown by our analytics, our platform increasingly reaches and influences these.
