Vibe Closure Systems (VCS) has launched with a clear ambition: to bring next-generation, engineering-led technology to the industrial closure market. The Dubai-based company is developing proprietary solutions for pails and drums used across chemicals, coatings, lubricants and other industrial applications.
VCS is led by David Pritchett, who spent 25 years at Rieke/TriMas Packaging, including his final 10 as President, and Riddhamn Baahri, formerly vice president of Business Development at Rieke/TriMas from 2014 to 2021. Their experience spans closure technology, manufacturing, international market development and commercialization.
The company is entering a mature, established category with a different model: identify where closure performance can be materially improved; engineer proprietary solutions; protect them through intellectual property; and bring them to market through experienced manufacturing partners. Its initial portfolio targets pouring performance, tamper evidence, security and user experience.
“We know this industry extremely well, and we believe industrial closures are ready for a new generation of technology,” said David Pritchett, CEO of Vibe Closure Systems. “VCS was created to challenge established thinking through better engineering — solving practical problems and delivering meaningful performance improvements for customers and end users. Would you call us a disrupter? I hope so.”
The initial portfolio comprises AccuPour, a next-generation pouring platform designed for greater control and reduced glugging; GardaLok, a tamper-evident closure system for plastic drums; GardaCap, a security-focused cap system for steel drums; UltraGrip, a range of industrial drum closures and cap seals. Patent applications are pending across key VCS technologies.
VCS is working with established manufacturing partners to scale commercial production, including a strategic manufacturing relationship with Mold-Tek Packaging in India for high-precision caps and closures.
“The opportunity is not to change closures for the sake of change,” Pritchett added. “It is to understand where established formats can perform better, then use engineering and intellectual property to create a genuinely better solution. That is what we mean by next-generation closure technology.”
Commercialization is under way, with VCS already in discussions with selected customers and distributors in North America and other international markets.
