Haryana-based Candle United, a veteran label printer established in the 1970s, has advanced its production infrastructure with the addition of a Konica Minolta AccurioLabel 230 digital label press. The installation is a strategic move in the company’s expansion efforts, reinforcing its focus on digital label production, enhanced efficiency, and greater flexibility in managing short-run printing requirements.
“The Konica Minolta AccurioLabel 230 has been an important addition to our new facility and digital expansion plans. The machine offers excellent print consistency, quick job changeovers, and strong reliability for short-run label production. It aligns perfectly with our vision of building a modern and future-ready label manufacturing setup,” Vansh Kapoor, fourth-generation managing director, Candle United, said.
The AL 230 is a digital label printing system that offers enhanced productivity, job flexibility, and operability. It is a perfect fit for business expansion and parallel use with existing analog presses. The technology enables the execution of rapid-turnaround orders that were previously economically unviable.
Most of the tack papers and tack films can be printed at a maximum speed of 23.4 mpm. The print speed, enhanced from the previous model, realizes faster turnaround time and contributes to expanding the printing business.
Reflecting on the company’s growth, Kapoor said, “The business started in the 1970s as a small home-operated venture focused on commercial printing applications such as cinema tickets, bus tickets, and stationery items. Over the years, the company consistently evolved alongside industry advancements, transitioning from conventional letterpress printing into more advanced printing capabilities.”
Candle United further diversified its capabilities beyond conventional printing by engaging in silk screen and offset printing, while developing expertise in sticker manufacturing and roll-to-roll production technologies for industrial use. It provides for a wide range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, FMCG, packaged drinking water, construction materials, utensils, and several other industrial segments.
“The recently installed Konica Minolta AL 230 has been integrated to support evolving label manufacturing requirements, including short-run production, variable data and versioned printing, faster turnaround times, premium label applications, and scalable production capabilities for growing brands,” Kapoor said.
Supported by ongoing investments in infrastructure development, advanced printing technologies, and operational modernization, the company aims to strengthen its presence as a technology-driven and dependable label manufacturing partner for both emerging businesses and established brands across India.
