Domino India, a global provider of advanced variable data printing solutions and digital printing technology, had a successful run at the recent LMAI Conference in Udaipur. Speaking to Packaging South Asia on the sidelines of the exhibition segment, Ajay Rao Rane, vice president – digital printing business at Domino India, said that the conference lineup was commendable, with key industry players progressively discussing sustainability and circularity.

According to Rao Rane, India is a very big market, and Domino is witnessing a robust growth potential in the digital and conversion technology segments. The company displayed a wide array of labeling solutions for cans, in-mold labels (IML), and more.

The Domino K600i digital UV inkjet printer, known for speed, reliability, and the ability to handle variable data printing (VDP) with 600 dpi print quality, was highlighted. The machine can handle a range of barcodes and 2D codes, including the QR code, up to speeds of 200m/min.

“We got to meet several OEMs, converters, and suppliers. The lineup of speakers was quite commendable as we got to know a lot about the competing and complementing technologies. This conference is not only about ideas, it’s about implementing solutions and helping converters reduce the bottlenecks in their operations,” he said at the conference.

Labelexpo Europe

The company announced its participation in Labelexpo Europe 2025 in Barcelona, Spain. Scheduled from 16 to 19 September 2025, Domino will feature a comprehensive range of printing solutions at hall 3, stand 3E91 at Fira Gran Via. Live demonstrations will showcase Domino’s wide array of inkjet solutions.

Rao Rane said the upcoming edition in Barcelona is going to be big, as the majority of the European converters will be present. “It is a premier show for the global label industry, and we have great expectations. We hope to target newer market segments and help converters deal with the challenges they are facing.” He hinted at a new technology launch, further enhancing Domino’s array of comprehensive solutions.
