Global Vision will give a demo of the integration of its Quality Control Platform (Proofware) into Esko’s Automation Engine 16 at drupa

Automation Engine is Esko’s workflow server. It automates prepress tasks, which speeds up the process, and also reduces the error rate and the need for operator intervention. Automation Engine is an intelligent system that takes prepress production to a new level by integrating with business systems as well as web front ends.

“Today’s label and package production is complex and ever-changing, making it extremely challenging for companies,” says Reuben Malz, president of Global Vision. “The partnership and integration between Esko and Global Vision combines two powerful technologies that provide customers with a new approach to ensuring the accuracy of packaging throughout the workflow from design to print.”

All-in-one Automated Quality Control Tickets comprises text inspection which compares text in virtually any language; inspecting artwork with pixel precision and identifying all artwork differences automatically; barcode inspection which automatically locates and verifies all barcodes and grades  according to CEN/ANSI/ISO standards; Braille inspection for inspecting Braille text for added or missing Braille components; Spell Check for verifying spelling in artwork files and documents; and Print Inspection which provides accurate quality control of all printed packaging components by comparing printed proofs to the approved PDF for unintended changes to the content.
