Epson, a manufacturer of digital label presses, highlighted its SurePress L-6534VW during the PackPlus show held between 20-22 August 2026 in Delhi’s Pragat Maidan. At the show, Ashish Joshi, assistant manager, sales and marketing, Epson India, informed us of the growing adoption of the label press, with two installations in Ludhiana, Punjab, and Pune, Maharashtra.

Packaging South Asia has previously covered installations at Prateek Graphics in Sonipat and Delhi’s Print PackPlus Mart, as well as the launch of the Demo Center in Delhi’s Okhla, where the press was first shown running live.

The SurePress L-6534W digital LED UV inkjet press can produce high-quality, durable labels and integrates all the functions required for label production. It has been engineered to optimize productivity and minimize downtime, offering additional print modes of 30 mpm and 50 mpm for faster, high-quality print runs. Epson developed and manufactured the printheads, inks, LED pinning and curing lamp units, media feeding, control systems, and RIP software in-house.

The press can print matt, glossy, spot UV, and varnish printing in a single pass. It is a 6-color press — CMYK, white, varnish/orange- and can print on multiple substrates, including textured papers ranging from 18 mm to 320 mm microns.

At the show, Joshi talked about Epson’s expanding footprint and shifting strategy in the label printing market. Participating for the second consecutive time, he expressed strong enthusiasm about the event, citing a steady flow of attendees at the stand.

This aligns directly with Epson’s core exhibition objective of showcasing print applications directly to brand decision-makers to generate market demand for Epson products and offer tailored, high-performance solutions via their digital label presses.

Addressing market trends, he highlighted a clear industry shift toward digital and inkjet label printing, driven primarily by an increasing demand for short-run labels. The company’s sales pipeline continues to strengthen steadily day by day.

“Beyond equipment sales, we emphasize a long-term commitment to client success and Return on Investment (ROI). Rather than operating strictly as a technology supplier, we are actively bridging the gap between brand owners and existing press installation clients. By connecting brand decision-makers with established Epson press operators, we aim to drive print volume directly to its customer base, ensuring sustained growth across the ecosystem,” Joshi said.
