Wlady Martino, Global Industry Segment manager at B&R, presented the advantages of mass customization and its compatibility with large-scale production. He explained how technologies such as ACOPOS 6D are revolutionizing the industry by eliminating downtime and enabling format changes without hardware modifications, allowing for production that is more adaptable to market demand.

Meanwhile, Xavier Piferrer, Food & Beverage Segment manager at ABB Robotics, presented various applications of robotics in packaging, including high-speed picking, packing with anthropomorphic and delta robots, as well as palletizing in production lines. He also highlighted the use of advanced simulation tools such as RobotStudio, which optimize production and reduce costs by up to 30%, while increasing productivity by 20%.

With this seminar, the Barcelona Packaging Hub strengthens its commitment to technological innovation in the packaging sector, promoting the implementation of advanced solutions among its members to improve the efficiency and sustainability of their production processes.
