Acme Rolltech, an Indian manufacturer of ceramic anilox rolls and sleeves, highlighted a global-first two-year manufacturer warranty on its all-new ‘Made-in-India’ ceramic anilox rolls and anilox sleeves, at the Hiplex 2026 show held from 7 to 10 August in Hyderabad.

Sandeep Sharma, director of Acme Rolltech, said this guarantee reflects complete confidence in domestic engineering and signals a fundamental shift in the global flexo printing market.

“Offering a two-year warranty, an assurance no other international roll manufacturer currently provides, aims to set a new benchmark for product longevity, ink transfer consistency, and operational reliability on high-speed presses,” he said.

Acme Rolltech’s showcase focused on high-performance solutions for demanding flexo applications. The company’s portfolio highlighted core capabilities in central impression (CI) flexo, step-drive flexo, narrow-web, and wide-web printing, alongside large-format anilox rolls over 1,000 mm, designed specifically for CI flexo, corrugation, and specialty film-coating lines.

Visitors experienced Acme’s proprietary ACE (advanced channel engraving) cell structure, specialized laser-engraved embossing roller technology, and enhanced support for extended color gamut (ECG) printing. Sharma said ECG capabilities allow converters to standardize their press rooms, significantly cut ink inventories, minimize setup downtime, and reduce raw material waste.

Sustainability and circular economy principles are a core pillar of Acme Rolltech’s growth strategy, particularly in response to the extended producer responsibility (EPR) regulations that are driving the adoption of recyclable, mono-material film structures.

Beyond supporting recyclable substrates through precise coating application, the company is addressing equipment longevity through the Acme refurbishment program (AREP). “Our customers are quite satisfied with the program given how sustainable and cost-efficient it is. Awareness is increasing constantly,” he said.

Sharma explained that the AREP enables packaging converters to restore, re-ceramicize, and re-engrave worn anilox rolls and sleeves back to original specifications rather than scrapping capital equipment. This approach directly cuts metal and ceramic waste while providing printers with a cost-effective alternative to complete replacement.

On expansion plans, he talked about the company’s growing footprint, with dedicated partners for sales and technical queries in Hyderabad, Pune, and Delhi-NCR. Sharma plans further deployment in Chennai and Mumbai to aid the company’s customers across different regions.

Addressing the broader economic outlook, Sharma expressed strong optimism about the Indian flexible packaging sector, sensing a decade of sustained domestic growth and import substitution. He said Indian indigenous manufacturing had matured beyond simply providing cost-competitive alternatives, evolving into a true technology partner capable of delivering global-standard performance with localized support and faster turnaround times.
