Konica Minolta, a global leader in digital printing, made a strong show at PackPlus 2024, held at Pragati Maidan in Delhi from 22-24 August. The company – known for its expertise across office printing, production printing, and industrial printing – focused its latest innovations in industrial printing, particularly in digital label printing, digital embellishment solutions, and UV inkjet technology.
Unlike previous exhibitions such as Pamex 2024 in Mumbai, where Konica Minolta presented machines and solutions, this time’s spotlight was exclusively on solutions. By doing so, the company said it emphasized its commitment to providing comprehensive, 360-degree customer support, extending beyond just machine sales.
“It is our 360-degree support to our customer,” said Vijay Kamat, product manager, business development at Konica Minolta. He said this support encompasses machine service, consumables supply, and business development, ensuring customers have the tools they need to stick and succeed long after the initial purchase.

Visitors to the Konica Minolta stall saw samples of printed materials produced on the AccurioJet KM-1 and MGI machines. These samples highlighted the advanced capabilities of Konica Minolta’s solutions, offering attendees a glimpse into the future of digital printing and embellishment. Kamat explained, “People visiting the exhibition look out for something new from a print packaging perspective. So, we are demonstrating the final product that interests them.”
At PackPlus 2024, the company could directly connect with potential customers with existing users of Konica Minolta’s technology. Depending on the location of the enquirer, the Konica Minolta team would facilitate meetings between visitors and their nearby customers who could fulfill their printing and embellishment needs. This approach helped generate business for Konica Minolta’s customers and ensured that the end-users could see the solutions in action and understand their real-world applications.
Kamat emphasized that exhibitions such as PackPlus offered a unique opportunity for industry professionals to discover innovations. He said attendees expect to find something fresh and groundbreaking, particularly in the print packaging sector. Konica Minolta’s presence at the event was not just about showcasing its technology but also about fostering partnerships with customers to develop their businesses. “In partnership with our customers to develop their business, we are here to convert the attendees to the customers of our customers,” Kamat said.
