During the Labelexpo India 2018 exhibition organized at India Expo Centre at Greater Noida, Esko made four announcements pertaining to the sale of its machines. Three of the four announcements came on Day 3 of the show while the fourth announcement came on the last day of the show.
Uflex purchases Esko CDI Spark 4260 and XPS Crystal 5080
Uflex is the country’s largest flexible packaging conglomerate. Right from gravure cylinders to flexo plates, packaging materials and machines – they make it all. Recently, Esko got into a partnership with Uflex where the company purchased the Esko CDI Spark 4260 with high resolution, HD flexo pixel plus and also India’s second XPS Crystal 5080 exposing system. The XPS Crystal flexo plate making machine allows front and back exposure of LED and UV. The machines have already been installed at Uflex’s headquarters in Noida and the announcement was made at Labelexpo India 2018. The installation began in early November for the machines to be ready for production by the end of the same month.
Abdos invests in prepress system from DuPont and Esko
Abdos is a 50-year-old company which was established in 1967. Its lamitubes division started in 2004 and is headed by directors Kamal Agarwal and Vijay Agarwal. Among the top three lamitube manufacturers in India, the company has two plants – one in Guwahati and the other in Roorkee. At the Labelexpo India 2018 show, DuPont and Esko announced the sale of the DuPont Cyrel 2000 TD and Esko CDI Spark to Abdos.
Sai Enterprises buys Esko CDI Spark 4260
Bengaluru-based Sai Enterprises purchased an Esko CDI Spark 4260 at Labelexpo India 2018. In addition to this, the company already owns two Esko CDI 4835 flexo plate imagers and this is the third investment of the company on an Esko. The company desires to tap the flexible and corrugation markets in a big and effective manner and hence invested in the 42 x 60 inches machine for its plant at Bengaluru.
Digiflex ties up with Esko and MacDermid
During Labelexpo 2018, Esko announced the sale of its CDI Spark 5080 imager to Digiflex. This deal marked the first Esko CDI Spark imager sale in Southern India. Esko had previously sold this machine in the Northern and Western regions of India. Shyam Sunder of Esko said that the purchase of the Esko machine will double the prepress bureau’s volume. This is Digiflex’s second prepress line which will be installed alongside Kodak Flexcel NX. It also tied up with MacDermid for plates. Through this deal the company looks to push its flexo quality higher.
